Trivia: During the scene where Perry Smith (Robert Blake) is summing up his life, the rain on the window is reflected on Blake’s face so that it looks like he’s shedding tears, and the effect was lauded by many reviewers. That effect wasn’t planned – the set was hot that day and a fan was being used near the simulated rain; it accidentally blew the water against the window, resulting in the shadows of the falling “rain” passing over Blake’s face. 

Goofs: Crew or equipment visible: When Dick is in the interrogation room just before he confesses, you can see the reflection of the camera in the window on the door before and after the detective enters the room.

Goofs: Continuity: When Clive and Elsa return to work for the first time after the farm scene, they enter the lab with Elsa on the right side and Clive to her left side (viewer perspective). William Barlow appears and handle them both a lab coat. Suddenly Clive and Elsa have split position and in the next scene, Mr. Barlow, which was facing the entering door, now has his back on it and Clive and Elsa have split position again.

Goofs: Continuity: In the scene when toys try to revert Buzz to his normal mode, they first unscrew the cover that hides battery compartment. However, when Rex accidentally holds reset button too long, Buzz reloads, switches to Spanish mode and springs on his feet. The cover returns to its place instantly.

Goofs: Factual errors: When Ray is planting the last bomb on George’s Crown Vic, he reaches up past the oil filter to the distributor. The only engines with that configuration are the straight sixes, which were never used in Crown Vics or any police-package. All police cars of that era have V8s, which have the distributor on top in the center, where it’s impossible to reach from the below. Ford puts the distributor at the front; GM & Chrysler at the rear. Also, the distributor clearly has only 7 wires – one for each of the 6 cylinders, and 1 from the coil.
